Poshmark is a social commerce marketplace whereby users can come to buy products or sell their own items as secondhand. Typical goods on the site fall under fashion, home goods, and electronics.Started in 2010, the company has now grown to 80 million users and 800 employees.

Poshmark has leveraged a web application to provide a quick, easy, and seamless way to upload items by taking a photo and setting up a product listing. This makes it easy for anyone to create an account and start selling their clothes or home goods. There are currently over 250M listings available on the website.

Poshmark’s Hiring Process Overview

Poshmark’s hiring process consists of 5 different rounds of interviews with their team members depending on the role you're applying for. The 5 rounds of interviews include:

  • A Team Members/Panel Interview
  • A Technical Assessment / Take Home interview
  • Manager Interview
  • Final Internal Stakeholders Interview

Although this is the typical hiring process, the amount of interviews differ between roles. As a general rule of thumb, the more senior your role is the more interviews you will undergo.

Poshmark has a very lengthy interview process with some applicants saying they’ve even gone through 6 or 7 interviews just to be declined.

Additionally, for the assessment interview, be prepared to be assessed based on the role you are interviewing for (e.g. software engineer roles will go through technical assessments, customer service interviews will go through more behaviour based assessments). If your role does not require any technical assessment skills, than you will only be analysed based on your interview calls

Poshmark’s hiring process is rated 2.8 out of 5 by Glassdoor. Out of 98 interviews, 38% were rated negative, 47% were rated positive, & about 20% were rated neutral. These interviewers were conducted on a broad range of job positions. Overall, the Poshmark interview process can be very long & drawn out. You will have to go through multiple rounds of interviews followed by a take-home assessment that you’ll have to complete. They have also been known to be very vague on when candidates aren’t accepted.

How Long Does It Take To Hear Back From Poshmark After The First Interview

Poshmark has been consistent with following up each interview by planning the next interview, usually done within a week's time depending on the calendar availability. You can expect a second interview in 1 week if you pass the first interview.
