Lead the small molecule parenteral drug product development in designing and executing experiments for formulation and process development.
Document technical reports and regulatory filings related to drug product development.
Implement strategy and conduct scientific research from laboratory to commercial scale.
Coordinate and execute SPD initiatives in the company's portfolio from discovery to launch.
Collaborate with key stakeholders across the organization to ensure timely progression of portfolio initiatives.
Recruit, appraise, and develop personnel under supervision, including selecting and training staff.
Develop and manage departmental budgets and ensure adherence to spending limits.
Build collaborations across internal departments and with external partners.
Requirements
Ph.D. in chemical engineering, chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, or relevant field with a minimum of 5+ years of industrial experience, or B.S./M.S. with a minimum of 8+ years of industrial experience.
Relevant experience in pharmaceutical development with exposure to all stages of development (preclinical, clinical, and commercial).
Experience in developing sterile and specialty products, including long-acting injectables and sterile liquid/lyophilized products.
Knowledge of intermediate modality evaluations and parenteral formulation development.
Experience with process design and/or scale-up in clinical or commercial settings.
Preferred:
Recognized expertise in novel delivery technologies for small molecule or synthetic modalities.
Experience in regulatory compliance across all phases of product development.
Demonstrated leadership skills in building high-performing teams and motivating scientific staff.
Experience in budget planning and management.
