Serve as a technical resource on key Operational and Engineering projects and complete deliverables in a timely manner.
Adopt lean manufacturing techniques such as SMED, Gage R&R, Poka-yoke, etc to distinguish and categorize PM vs PdM activities to optimize machine reliability and uptime.
Monitor parts usage and alert supervisor or Engineering team for reorders.
Mentor, coach, and support Level 1 technicians.
Provide technical support for 2nd shift Operations.
Conduct periodic maintenance checks on equipment and systems to ensure everything is up to standard.
Troubleshoot, log, and repair unplanned downtime events related to equipment.
Complete maintenance work orders in a timely manner.
Create and maintain an asset log for all production equipment utilizing a CMMS system. (computers, mixers, scanners, etc)Log equipment usage, parts replacement, and scheduled maintenance to ensure maximum uptime.
Write and maintain standard operating procedures for existing and new equipment.
Train production staff on proper handling and use of equipment.Fill out a daily shift log of completed and pending tasks to facilitate communication between shifts.
Periodically report to leadership potential downtime issues.
Requirements
Technical degree or certification with hands-on experience with basic mechanical tools.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills.
Physically capable to lift 50 lbs.
Flexible with availability to accommodate business need.
